I recently had a very good experience at a hotel near Tegel Airport. the location was extremely convenient as it was just a short drive from the airport itself. Additionally, it was close to the U6 bahn station, making it easy to explore different parts of Berlin. Despite being on the outskirts of the city, there were still plenty of shops and restaurants within walking distance.
All in all, my stay at this hotel was more than satisfactory.
